"Mercury" is the first single to be released from the as yet untitled third LP from Bloc Party. A dated, flaccid, experimentation in Grime, "Mercury" is uninspired, unimaginative and painfully boring. A plodding Urban opus with a driving bass line, static drum patterns, and completely useless horn loops, "Mercury" makes "Flux" sound like lightning trapped in an aerodynamic bottle. Just a wet fart of a song that really makes me wonder what the hell is coming with this new album.
That's really all I have. This is my first real let down from Bloc Party, and it just makes me really sad.
Ugh.
