Native Korean Rock & The Fishnets is the brainchild of Yeah Yeah Yeahs front woman Karen O. With an equally dark sexuality and damaged psyche, Karen floats through the five tracks posted on the band's Myspace with ease and sinister beauty. Perhaps a variation of "FREAK FOLK," this seems like the natural progression from her work on Yeah Yeah Yeahs second LP Show Your Bones. Though her work here may indicate that she has, perhaps, found a separate avenue to show her teeth in this fashion. At any rate this is staggeringly good stuff, and oh so very pretty.
